For RappFLOW President Beverly' Hunter, this year’s event was the perfect place to roll out their new “Clean Streams" initiative, a partnership with the Culpeper Soil and Water Conservation District and the Rappahannock County Health Department, funded by the Virginia Water Quality Improvement Fund.
“The event enabled RappFLOW volunteers to inform many people about the County's ‘Clean Streapis Days’ coming up this spring,” said Hunter. “The Wildlife Habitat Open House was an excellent opportunity for interested citizens to consider how healthy watersheds provide healthy habitats, and ways in which they can manage their own property to improve the watershed. The well-attended lectures helped to deepen understanding of these connections."
