Partnering with a neighboring county could bring almost immediate cost reductions to the Rappahannock education expenses.
For many Rappahannock taxpayers, either the potential $250,000 in state aid or a sharing agreement to reduce overhead would be welcomed.
Sperryville resident Tom •Junk said he supports the county's efforts in the General Assembly. Junk organized the Concerned Taxpayers of Rappahannock County, which meets regularly to discuss the tax burden faced by county residents.
“Any relief is help,” he said.
