was in court for shooting two dogs that had been caught in coyote traps on his property.
According to a report at the RCSO, Ludwig thought the dogs were wild, but the animals belonged to two of his neighbors.
After one of the dogs went missing, the owner went looking for it and found it shot next to a trap on Ludwig's property, the sheriffs report said. The person called the sheriff's office on Feb. 13 to report the incident. Deputy Robert Finchum went to investigate and found another dog that had been shot next to a trap.
Ludwig was not sentenced or fined Tuesday in court. He was ordered to pay restitution
