After working as an attorney for the US Navy, Mike is happy to be putting down roots in Sperryville, so close to the home of his ancestors and Jenny now works for RappFLOW at The School House.
A second home that we visited has even more extensive stone construction done by Reyes Stoneworks. There are four exquisite working fireplaces and a complex stone construction in the kitchen that will house an enormous gas stove. All fireplaces have soaring interior and exterior chimneys, with every heavy stone cut and shaped, as needed. The stone chimney against the blue sky is breathtaking. Ray and I visited a few times and watched as each large stone was carefully selected and put into place. The combined physical labor along with the intuitive creative process results in a natural feel for the stonework. Can you imagine that Leobardo and his expert crew are completely self-taught and develop their projects because it feels right! The family that owns this home is also putting down roots in Rappahannock.
