Lillian’s five grandchildren range in age from their 20s to toddlers. One, is currently attending Norfolk State. “She’d like to be a veterinarian,’’ noted Aylor. Another has recently graduated from technical school and the younger ones are eagerly awaited when they are able to come for a visit.
While Aylor remarked that she has seen a lot of changes in the county over the years, some things remain the same. “I enjoy the peace and quiet here,” said Aylor, “and the opportunity to help so many people." “I’m trying to make life better for all the people in my life.”
