More outreach
programs
The Maazels, founders of the Chateauville Foundation, have been dedicated to reaching out to the children of Rappahannock County.
Douglas Beck, executive director of the foundation, noted that each outreach event was successful and encouraged the foundation to do more.
With the help and support of Cole Johnson and the Headwaters Foundation, there will be two more outreach programs in Rappahannock County public schools.
One of them, in midMarch, will be by young multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter Kinobe who will share the traditional sounds of Uganda and the African continent, performing exclusively on a wide variety of beautiful acoustic instruments. The second will feature Julian Bliss, the English clarinetist- who, at the age of 19, is established on the international concert scene having already appeared as soloist with such orchestras as the London Philharmonic, BBC Symphony. Royal Philharmonic and Or chestre National de France.
For more information about upcoming events and/or to sign up as a volunteer to assist in the Maazels' new annual music festival July 4-19, visit: www. chateauville.org.
