Celebration of

Julie Portman’s life

There will be a celebration of Julie Portman’s remarkable life on Jan. 31 at 4 p.m. at the Theatre House in Castleton.

The concert features a few of her many long-time creative friends including Ysaye Barnwell, Beth Nielsen Chapman, Angela Kaset along with Julie’s husband Paul Reisler.

Julie I via tape) also will read an excerpt from the play she just completed before her death, “The Man Who Eats Books.”

With a life so full of creative community, there will also be an opportunity for everyone to share stories, songs, poetry, dance and whatever. So, in the tradition of Paul and Julie’s songcamps and workshops, the song/sharing circle vvill go on long into the night.
