from side to side. Let me tell you something with tears in my eyes, I did overcome something that afternoon. Something I had believed in over the years that was wrong.
On Tuesday, at the office as I was watching the Inauguration on TV, I was truly moved even more when Barack Obama gave his inaugural speech. Tears were running down my face. I was thinking how could I have ever felt that way about blacks. They are human beings and have a soul just like myself.
Black Americans needed a Martin Luther King but above all America needed him. It was the right prescription for our country, as well as for myself.
,He provided a candle along with a light. And it was a light that opened my eyes. Truly I have to admit I was in the wrong to feel the way I did. Never again will I ever put whites before blacks. We all are equal the same.
Thank you Dr. King and President Obama for opening my eyes and heart. And thank you Mary Ann for a news assignment that changed my life.
