January 30,1969 Janet Hackley of Amissville has received the Good Citizen Award given by the Culpeper Minutemen Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution. This award is given to a senior at Rappahannock County High School annually and selection is based on dependability, leadership, service and patriotism. The recipient is chosen by the school faculty. Janet is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. G. Hackley.

Mr. and Mrs. Loring Anderson, Jr., of Culpeper are receiving congratulations on the birth of a daughter, Karen Sue, on Jan. 23, 1969 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital. Grandparents of the little girl are Mrs. Virginia E. Baker of Culpeper and Mr. and Mrs. Loring M. Anderson of Washington, Va.
