Local Garden Club Transplanted to Eire Longwood Garden club mem bers were transplanted to the auld sod Monday for a program centered around Iieland. Ginny Hanbury. the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B Blanton Han bury. gave an Irish recitation, and Mrs. F. H. Hanbury. Jr., discuss ed the literature, music, history, geography and legends of both Eire and Northern Ireland, Club members exhibited yellow flowers in green containers, and blue ribbons were awarded Miss Edna Putney. Mrs. P. T. Atkinson and Mrs. Roy Pearson. Mrs. J. Barrye Wall and Mrs. Robert Withers won red ribbons. A note of appreciation was sent to Lions club members who do nated 66 dogwood trees for the warden club's project of beautify ing the road between Framville and Hampden-Sydney. Mrs. R. J. Martin. Jr., was host ess for the meeting, which was held at Longwood house.
