LeGrand Thornhill, of Lynchburg, district golden anni versary chairman, and her com mittee have arranged a-s a special feature, a golden anniversary re view of "The First State Conven tion of the Virginia Federation of Women's Clubs," which was held in Lynchburg in May 1907, and will be presented by the Lynch burg Woman's club. The original script for the review was written by Mrs. J. I. Hamaker. and is taken from exerpts from the pro gram of 50 years ago as gleaned from newspaper reports and other materials in “Mother Kyle's" scrap book. The fine arts exhibit will also be a feature of the program. Awards in the fine arts contest and in the poetry, literature and drama contest wall be announced by Mrs. Bernard H. Kyle, district fine arts chairman. Mrs. Flood will preside at the morning and afternoon sessions, and Mrs. O. Lewis Roach. Jr., of Danville, junior district president, .will preside for the junior bus iness session which will be held after luncheon. Among the items of business to be transacted by ■ the senior clubs will be the adop tion of the 1957-58 budget to be presented by Mrs. Malcolm Mer ryman, of Rustburg, chairman of the budget committee, and the election of a nominating commit tee.
