Appomattox 4-H Electric Congress The second annual Appomattox county 4-H Electric Congress was held Saturday. March 16 at the Appomattox Elementary School. This is one of the few' county congresses (if not the only one!) to be held among the 4-H farm and home electric projects in the state. The County Congress was patterned on a miniature fashion after the State 4-H Electric Con gress held in Richmond each fall. The Appomattox County Con gress featured exhibits entered in competition by 4-H clubs on some phase of the electrical project. A grand prize, the use of a tape recorder, was given to the 4-H club with the best all-round re cord The tape recorder was do nated by the Central Virginia Electric Co-op. The Lucky Clover 4-H club won the use of tape re corder for the year. Next year's winner w 11 then take possession. Interesting commercial exhibits were also shown by various bus inesses.
