New officers were elected, and members and their families en joyed a dance at the annual rally of the Craddock-Terry CJo-Opera tive Associat'oh Fridajy night, March 22, at the Farmvijlle Moose hall. Leading the Associatiqn for the new year are: president, Mrs. Laura Lowe; vice president, Mrs. Gladys O. Fulcher, and secretary treasurer, Mrs, Estelle Holmes. Incoming officers, aljong with the Association’s directors, will supervise the paying of sack, birth, and death benefits to members in the Farmville plant of Craddock Terry Shoe Corporation. Retiring President Elizabeth Franklin presided during the bus iness session which preceded the dance. Dr. Otis W. McClung, pas tor of Farmville Baptist Church, gave the invocation. One hundred foiuteen Associa tion members won door prizes which had been donated by Farm ville merchants. Presiding over the award of prizes were: James Layne and Joe Hollowiay, who were assisted by Marvin Goin. sop of Mr and Mrs. Tommy Goin. and Reva Layne, daughtier of Mr .and Mrs. James Layne. The Meherrin String Band played for dancing which con cluded the affair. One of the largest turnouts in the Associa tion's history was present.
