In view of these facts, I believe it behooves the people of this \ community to support whole heartedly the colleges in their ef-j forts to give their students ex-1 perience in the theatrical arts and to add to the cultural life of | Southside Virginia. Mr. David Wiley, director of the play, de serves commendation and recog nition for his work with coliege students in staging the plays, and the players themselves should be rewarded with something besides1 empty seats after the long hours thy have spent memorizing lines, building sets, rehearsing, and per forming all the other time-con suming tasks which must be done before the play "hits the boards."
