They think Cumberland has pro duced some outstanding men who have been leadcs for many causes. They believe that many interesting facts and legends are to be found in the history of the county. No better tune than lit.", the venr I of the Jamestown celebration, could present itself for featuring some of the background of their heritage. The Ashby club has launched a project for just that purpose. The first activity toward accom plishing this goal is featuring a pic ture of the Cumberland Court House on a china plate and offering these plates for sale. The club members hope these plates will find their way into many homes far and wide. To further the interest in Cumberland history, a few facts hrK'e been print ed on the back of the plates. The first plate was purchased by Mrs. E. A. Carter, of Cumberland The second plate was bought by Mrs. J. K. Robinson, of Alberta, |Canada.
