Tl:e following statement by Trial Justice B. M. Miller seemed to fall favorably on a number of ears—but it’s still a free country* and you can stick to your own opinion.
Quoth Mr. Miller: “The Free State of Rappahannock is in full support of Senator Byrd, Senator Robertson, and Representative Burr P. Harrison. . . We trust them implicitly in their judgment on this retrenchment program to balance the b.dget and stop deficit spending. . . I used to disagree with Senator Byrd considerably but I've found out I was the one that was wrong. . . I’m reminded of a story told by a colored preacher once. lie said that any Power great eno.gh to control all the planets and keep each one in its own orbit during all these years was enough to convince him to put his trust in It. That’s somewhere near my opinion of Byrd ^ I’ll put my trust in his record.’’
“I don’t mean to bragg,’’ continued Mr. Miller, “but I think we are just about as well represented as any group of people in the country. In fact, there are none better.’’ .
