A Spring County Committee meeting was held on the 11th of April. This meeting is held every
pose of going over what the clubs have done thus far, and for making plans for next year’s program. The following women were present: Mrs. Minnie Fox of Huntly club, Mrs. Lewis Harrison of the Huntly club, Mrs. Joe Hitt of the Amissville club, Mrs. Sarah Latham of Amissville club, Mrs. C. B. Johnson and Miss Nellie Johnson of the Woodville club. Mrs. C. R. Hite and Mrs. John Revercomh of the F.T. Valley club, Mrs. Doris Coughlin and Mrs. Clarence Scott of the Castleton club, Mrs. Fiank Cary and Mrs. Bert Massie of the Flint Hill club, and Mrs. Stanley Williams and Mrs. Marie Williams of Chester Gap cl.b. We were also delighted to have wiMi us at this committee meeting. Miss R. Belle Burke, District Home Agent of Charlottesville. She gave the program development leaders of each club excellent ideas, on how to receive from their club the best possible program for 1951.
Mr. F. H. Scott, Assistant Garden specialist of VPI, was present Thursday, April 13, to give some information to the garden leaders of each club, on Vegetable gardening, and he did just this. All present will agree that Mr. Scott was well informed on his subject, and gave much valuable information which the club members will carry back to their club. The person.s present were: Mrs. Stanley Williams of Chester Gap club; Mrs. Helen Williams of the Huntly club; Miss Ruth Stevens of the Flint Hill club; Mrs. Sarah Latham and Mrs. A. C. Latham of the Amissville ' club, Mrs. Charles Reid of the Washington “club; Mrs. Barber of the Woodville club ; and Mrs. Thomas Williams and Mrs. Doris Coughlin of the Castleton club.
