District H.D. Will Meet
In Fairfax, May 2
There will be a district Home Demonstration meeting, May 2, at Fairfax high school in Fairfax. All H.D. members of Rappahannock county are invited to attend.
Lunch will be served in the school and will cost 85c per person. The meeting will start at 10 a.m. and will last all day.
The theme will be “Home, the Foundation of Democracy.’’ Speakers will include Miss Maude E. Wallace, assistant director of H.D. work; Miss Mina Hagan, field agent, Extension Service, U. S. Dept. Agriculture; Miss Iris Davenport, Southern Ruralist Magazine; and Mrs. C. M. Ware, vicepresident, Virginia Federation of H.D. clubs.
It is hoped that a large group will attend from Rappahannock.
