Fishermen Urged To Be
Careful Of Forest Fires
Green forests and good fishing go together. Blackened forests, destroyed by destructive forest files, are an enemy of the sportsman.
The trout fisherman will be traveling to his favorite trout stream Beginning today, which is the opening date of the 1950 tro.t season. District Forester D. G. Wilfong, -Jr., reminds all of the people that April is the most hazardous forest fire month of the year. He requests the co-operation of all persons going trout fishing this year to be extra careful with fire.
During 1949 only a very few forest fires were caused in the district by careless fishermen. Forester Wilfong suggests that again this year fishermen be careful with matches, cigarettes, pipe ashes, camp and warming fires. Prevent forest fires and enjoy good fishing this year and in future years.
