Each person will need some article to be stenciled from cotton feed bags, Indian head, muslin, etc. Pale or delicate shades as well as cream white or grey can be decorated. Suggested articles to be stenfciled are scarfs, table mats, curtains, drapes, .children’s pinafores, housecoats.
1 Combination in fabrics is the big news in fashions for fall. These combinations will include bulky jackets over slim smooth dresses: tweed with velveteeti and fleece with gabardine. Babardines, jerseys and tweeds are in abundance while velvets and satins will be used for accent dress up occasions.
Crepe has made a big comback and will be used alone as a basic dress or dressy frocks in wool acetate or rayon. . p.
Cotton is being featured in lovely fall colors and interesting prints, plaids, and corduroy velveteens.
A variety of silhouettes are shown for fall. Select garments tfi&t will be effective worn together. For example slim fitted waistline and hipline garments are better under princess coats. The middle line and lower waisted dresses seem to be growing in popularity for high school and college girls. Color combinations which seem effective for fall are: Gold — green, black and bright navy; Bright navy — red and navy print or check, grey, or bar berry red; Black — red, green, gold, or blue in variety of texture; Camels hair — salt and pepper, pale cashmere and black for ploy on neutrals, or blues, greens and orange red for vivid contrasts "
