Analgesics are pain-killers—in the brofcd sense, hypnotics and narcotics are incl&ded among them. In the usual sense, however, analgesics are relatively harmless drugs used in the composition of headache powders and the like. The druggist works with analgesics every day in the year. He must be trained to know the potency of various proprietary analgesics and to compound analgesics from the drugs which he stocks in order to serve his clientele effectively.
