A fence post treating demonstration has been scheduled for September 9 in Page county. If any redder wishes to attend I will be glad to take a carload over or 'can arrange to have a demonstration here later on after posts have seasoned. Treated pine posts last for about 20 years as compared to a 5-8 year life of untreated pine posts. Yellow locusts are very scarce on most farms today. While there is an abundance of young yellow locust on my farms these are largely sap wood and thus must be replaced in 8-10 years unless treated. Treating costs about 20c per post. Advise us if further information is desired.^
