Mrs. Stant Weaver, Miss Shirley Weaver, Mrs. Jesse Hawkins, Mrs. George Butler and Mrs. Cary Thornhill were guests on Monday of Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Hawkins of Orange.
Mr. and Mrs. George H. Davis Jr. attended the funeral of Mr. Davis’s uncle, Dr. Maurice Blackwell on Monday. Dr. Blackwell was a retired Naval officer and was buried in Arlington Cemetery. His palfbearers were his great nephews. Mr. Davis served as one.
Mrs. J. S. Weaver, Miss Shirley Weaver and Mrs. S. C. Wayland were dinner guests on Wednesday of Miss Susie Wayland. Misses Eleanor and Dorothy Greasley of Washington, D. C. are guests at “Avon Hall” of Mr. and Mrs. F. Clyde Baggarly.
