Teachers Meet
The Rappahannock Co. Education Association met in the Warren Co. High School, Tuesday, following a morning session of Warren and Rappahannock teachers. Mrs. Barbara Gentry, president of the * county associaion presided. Commitee reports were made by: Miss Dorothy Spicer, chairman of Ethics Gom;mittee; Mrs. Quaintance, health; H. B. Winfrey, Public Relations and Legislative Committees; Miss Mary Miller Wood, Social and Welfare Committee; Mrs. Cook, S.C.A.; Mrs. Hazel Corbin, program; Mrs. Winfrey,
library; Mrs. Kilby, citizenship; and Mrs. Juluette Johnson, nominating.
The delegates for the October VEA meeting in Richmond were Miss Dorothy Bland from the high school with Nick Cascio, alternate and Mrs. Gentry from the elementary department with Miss Margaret Dodson, alternate.
Mrs. Burford, treasurer, reported a balance of $63.28. Mrs. Kathleen Lawrence is secretary of the county association. .Changes in the operation. of the Preventorium, in the charter of the Virginia Education Association and liberalization of the teacher retirement system were brought to the attention of the association for study and consideration and official action.
The Association will give a picnic at Lake George at 5:30 p.m.
Mrs. Buddy Aylor will be secretary at R.C.H.S. this*1 session.
