Miss Louise Schwartz left on Tuesday for New York, where she will sail on Wednesday for a tour of Spain, France and England. Her traveling companion is Miss Julia Hansberger of Front Royal. They will be gone several weeks returning about September 20.
Mr. and Mrs. Lee Thornton and Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Winfrey spent last weekend in Williamsburg. and attended “Common Glory.” Mr. and Mrs. David V. Chapman J%. and Mrs. Fannie Mitchell came on Saturday for a visit with Mr. and Mrs. D. V. Chapman and Mrs. Mary C. Brown. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Chapman accompanied by their son, David Jr. spent thd* day in Washington, D.C. with Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Chapman. Mr, and Mrs. Chapman Jr. also visited Mrs. Chapman’s mother, Mrs. W. E. Jones in Front RoyaL They returned to Richmond Tuesday.
Mrs. Henry Lillard and daughter, Miss Sally Lillard of Downingtown, Pa., are guests this week of Mrs. V. M. Lewis and Miss Ruth Menefee.
