Hr. and Mrs. Marvin Burke and William Burke of Griffinaburg spent Thursday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Shelvy Frazier. Miss Norma Morris of Washington D. C. spent the weekend with Miss Gail Scott. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Settle of Alexandria jand Mr. and Mrs. Guy Burke and son, Danny of Culpeper spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Brue Settle. Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Estes and Mrs. Ralph Estes visited George Settle Tuesday evening at the Warrenton hospital. Visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Mills during the past week were A R. Judd of Alexandria, Charles Younger of Arlington, Mrs. Ralph Estes, Mrs. Lelia Leake and son, C. W., Gene and Melvin Settle.

Russell Burke spent Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. EL L. Mozingo.

Mrs. Russell Corbin and daughter, Joyce Ann left Tiiesday to join Mrs. Corbin’s parents in Alabama. They have been spending a while with Mr. and Mrs. Albert Corbin. Cpl. Russell Corbin is now in N.Y.

Mr. and Mrs. Shelvy Frazier were guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Frazier.

Resolution

WHEREAS, for many years the Counties of Rappahannock and Culpeper and the Towns of Washington and Culpeper have been together in the same Legislative District of the General Assembly of Virginia; and have had the same representative; and

WHEREAS, the redistricting at the recent Special Session of the General Assembly, Rappahannock and Culpeper were separated and placed in different districts;

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Culpeper in regular meeting assembled on this the 6th day of January, 1953, express our disappointment and sincere regret that our two Counties were so separated.
