Foot State Fanners Meeting
Many local farmers are expected this Friday January 23 at Franklin Court Auditorium in Hagerstown for the annual Four State Farmers Meeting.
A full day session has been arranged, and, according to Herman Stockslager, president of the Four ‘ States Farmers’ Committee, the program should be “one of the most valuable and^" informative ever presented in this area.” Planned to be of special interest to farmers from Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia and Pennsylvania, the ‘53 Farmers’ Meeting will feature discussions of local farming problems, talks by noted agriculturalists and leading farmers from this section, slide presentations and question and answer periods.
Speakers have been secured for the ‘53 Meeting from the University of Maryland, the University of. West Virginia, the National Grange in Washington, D. C ., Virginia Polytechnic Institute and Penn State College.-In addition, leading fanners from this area will be on hand to discuss the pros and cons of new farm-' ing procedures they have put into operation and to answer questions from the audience.
