Ophelia Martin Jewell
Funeral services were held in Alexandria January 17 for Ophelia Martin Jewell who died in an Alexandria hospital January 14.
Mrs. Jewell was the wife of Charles Jfcwell and the daughter of the late Mildred and Lula Martin.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Jewell is survived by a son by her first marriage, Col. Warren R. Brown of Manassas; three sons, by her last marriage, Charles of Florida, Harry of Memphis, Tennessee, James of Alexandria; six daughters, Jessie, Edna, and Mattie of Alexandria, Judith of Wisconsin, Alma of Washington, D. C., and Bunny of New York; three brothers, Austin of Winchester, Durley of Manassas and Emmet of Culpeper; three sisters, Mrs. Flora Shivers of Calhoun, Georgia, Mrs. James Farrall of D.C., and Mrs. R. M. Lambert of Baltimore, Maryland.

The Woman’s Missionary Society of Reynolds Memorial Baptist church met Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock in the home of Mrs. James Atkins. Rev. A. Paul Thompson led the deVotionals an^ also made a very inspiring talk on the duties of a Missionary Society. There were twelve members present.
