Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Foster had as their dinner guests Sunday, Mrs. Vance Butler, her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and MfS. Eddie Naws of Warrenton.

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Miller were Sun day guests of Col. and Mrs. Charles King at the Winchester Memorial hospital.

Mrs. Walter Krause and mother, Mrs. John R. Moore were in Shenandoah on Sunday attending a birthday dinner of Mrs. Moore's brother-inlaw, Othor Print*.

Mr. and Mrs G. W. Smith Jr. Ind sons, G. W. Ill and Charlie were guests on Sunday of Mrs. G. W. Smith of North Gardens.

Several couples from Flint Hill attended the dance in Sperryville on Friday night Mr. and Mrs. John S. Browning won the prize for the best couple wakzing, and Emory Russell with Mrs. William Gilbert carried off the honors for the best jitter-buggers.

Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. John B. Goud were Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Maphis and daughter, Betty Lou of Winchester, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Whorton, Mrs. Henry Whorton, Mrs. John X Cloud, Miss Sally Dwyer and Daniel Keyser.

Mr. and Mrs. John B. Cloud were the guests of Mrs. Tasker Woodward of Sperryville on Monday afternoon.

Dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hitt on Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Warren Brown and sons, Jimmy and Donnie and Dudley Martin of Manassas and Mrs. Charles Shivers of Calhoun of Georgia.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert D. Hitt are spending this week in Maine. Mr. and Mrs. Sim Hutton of Front Royal were recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Walter. John Tapp is on the sick list

FLINT HILL GARDEN CLUB The Flint Hill Garden Club met in the home of Mrs. Dudley Wood and Mrs Brue Wood on Thursday afternoon with ten members present Highlights of the meeting were appointments of committees by the president, Mrs. Gaude Cook. Mrs. James M. Settle and Mrs. John S. Browning were selected for the nominating committee and Mrs. IJrue Wood and Mrs. G. M. Profitt for - the year book. Mrs. Cook received the prize for the arrangement of evergreens.
