a real bath, take them outdoors to do a thorough job. Put two nails on some convenient outside wall, hang one blind at a time on these nails, and wash both the tapes and slats. First, scrub one side of the blind with slat closed, using a brush dipped in soap or detergent solution. Next, turn the hose on to rinse it. Reverse the blind to sudsscrub and rinse the other side. Then stretch the tapes by letting the blinds dry with weights such as a couple of bricks or stones...tied to the bottom with string.
