Highlights of the Congress will be the banquet on Thursday evening August 26, when winners of the district awards are named, and the luncheon Friday at which the state winner in the electric project will be recognized. District awards, 19 - jewel watches, will go to six girls and six boys who enter the best 4-H electric records from their district. The top individual in the state will receive an all-expense trip to the National 4-H Club congress in Chicago in November; A plaque will go to the county with the most outstanding cour> ty 4-H electric program.
Counties are being invited to erect exhibits at the Congress for display, judging, and awards. Five counties will receive $20.00 each for the top exhibits, five will receive $10 each, and all other counties with exhibits judged worthy of awards will receive $5.
The Congress is conducted by the Agricultural Extension Service at Virginia Polytechnic Institute, and co-sponsored by the electric power suppliers in Virginia and the Westinghouse Electric Corporation.
