Field Trials will be run in this area August 27 and 28 at the first annual meet of the Northern Virginia Foxhunters Association of Culpeper and Rappahannock Counties.
The Foxhunter’s Association extends an invitation to all landowners of the area around the Hazel River over whose land their hounds will run August 27 and 28 to attend the Bench Show to be held at the Culpeper Agricultural Enterprises Thursday evening, Aug. 26 at 8 p.m. About 40 people attended an enjoyable neighborhood gettogether Saturday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Thornhill.
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Winkler and daughter Kathy spent Sunday with Mrs. Winkler's aunt Mrs. Reva Hawkins Washington, D. C. Mr. andMrs. Virginius Weav er and son Douglas spent the week-end in Charlottesville visiting Mrs. Weaver's aunt and uncle Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Eheart. Mrs. George Hahn'rreturned home Tuesday of last week after spending several days with her nephew Glenn Hudson and family of Arlington. Her guests on Thursday were her sister Mrs. Ann Kilby of Culpeper and brother Thomas Updyke and daughter Miss Marion Updyke of Charlottesville.
Miss Feggy Burke of Silver Spring, Md. is spending the week with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Brew Burke. Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Thornhill and daughter Lou Ellen were Mr. and Mrs. Ashby Thornhill and daughters, Misses Beverly and Susan Payne, Miss Peggy Burke and Ronnie Burke, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Thornhill and daughter Vennie of Culpeper, Mrs. William Morian andMrs. James Glover of Washington, D. C. Mrs. Morian is spending the week with the Thornhills. Mrs. Annie King of Washington, D. C. spent last weekend with her sister and brother-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Weaver.
