Crushing rock is a process that is by no means dust free - ask the people who work at the plants - but we are doing what we can to keep the dust out of the air, (we need it in our products to help meet State specifications), and have plans for even further improving our facilities on this score. As for the trucks, we do not own them ourselves, but have local truckers to do our hauling. These truckers make their living by their trucks and I am sure they will not knowingly do anything that would put their lives or their jobs in jeopardy. They are regulated by the State Police just as other vehicles and have as much right to use the roads as anyone else. Before locating our plant on Mr. Gentry's property, we tested other locations and either found the rock did not meet Virginia Department of Highway specifications or was not located within easy access of a primary highway, i. e. Rt. 522, and in the most economical hauling distance from the points of major use. We feel that any zoning plan must take into consideration the natural resources of a particular area and should not, if possible, prevent the realiza tion of benefits from those •resources, for in doing so the
