No augers yet. George Taylor reported he had none for sure. Thanks George for letting us know. Hope no one took my letter as an accusation. There's no one more forgetful than I and I realize whoever has an auger or soil sampling tube, has simply overlooked returning it.
Cattle branding demonstrations will be tomorrow by Ike Eller, Assistant Extension Animal Husbandman, as follows; 10 a.m. at Norman Wilbur’s near Slate Mills and 2 p.m. at Isaac Parrish’s farm on 729 between Forest Grove and Estes. Hope to see many of our fine cattlemen there. This means of identification is growing in popularity. We know of three sets of branding irons made, and purchased since our demonstration at Jim Maesie’s.
My apology to the Hensleys for not recognizing their consignment to the 1st Culpeper Feeder Calf Sale among which was a Hereford Club Calf grading AA and fetching 40(1 a lb.! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. A. C.
You’re right I’m up to my neck; nope haven’t gotten in water so shallow quite yet but hope by the time you read this, (if you do) that I’ll be able to breathe more freely than now on my 1st linear programming on a Rappahannock Farm!
