Florida Southpaw Golf
Mr. and Mrs, .Harry Meades of Amissville are spending some time in Florida where Mr. Meades was among over 200 portside golfers entered in the 1966 Left-Handed National Open Championship at Hollywood-By-The-Sea. Mr. Meades is a member of the South Wales Country Club. The 72-hold tournament for professionals and amateurs, regardless of handicap, is being played at the Diplomat Country Club and is co-sponsored by the Bottlers of CocaCola and First Flite Co. Best-selling author andsyn\ dicated columnist Jim Bishop, \a local resident and lefthander, greeted the lefties from the U. S. and Canada as the tournament opened last week. Results of the tournament are not yet known here.
Mr. Meades finished in 49th place out of a group of 250 entries.
