OBITUARIES
J. L Butter
James Edward Butler, 49, of Boston died January 7, '1966, at University at Virginia ' Hospital following a long ill• ness. Son of Mrs. Olive Smith Butler of Boston and the late Frank E. Butler, he s was a native of Culpeper Coun ty. Prior to retirement be . was a draftsman for the Virj ginia department of highways. He was a member of Mt. * Lebanon Baptist Church.
He is survived by his mother; a daughter, Mrs. Paul F. Butler of Boston; a son, Stevens E. Butler of the U. S. Air Force, stationed in Labrador; a granddaughter, Paula M. Butler at home; a sister, Mrs. J. B. Burke of Boston; : and a brother, E. Franklin Butler of Boston. : A funeral service was held at 2;00 p.m. Monday at Geest Funeral Chapel by the Rev. George Williamson. Interment was in Faitaiew Cemetery. '
Pallbearers were Edmund Burke, Wayne Butler, Russell Deane, R. C. Sharpes, Harry Stevenson, Ashby Thornhill, Buddy Thornhill and Tom Wink ter.
Mrs. Lucy Alice Jordan
Mrs. Lucy Alice Jordan, 61, of Washington, Va., died Wednesday, January S, 1966 at the Luray Nursing Home, following a long period of declining health. Daughter of the late Thomas Timbers and the late Florence Timbers, she was a native of Rappahannock County.
