Mr. and Mrs. John T. Has. rison of Washington, Va. announce the engagement of her daughter, Helen E. Walter, to Don Allen Berry. Mr. Berry is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Berry Sr. of Viewtown, Va. Miss Walter is the daughter of the late Thomas L. Walter, Sr. An early June wedding is planned.

Mrs. “Buddy" Williams returned to her home last Tuesday from Winchester Memorial Hospital where she recently underwent a successful eye operation. Joe Priest and Ray Sibert spent Friday night with Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Williams. Visiting in the Williams home on Sunday were Mr. a9d Mrs. Raymond Sibert, Ray and Patty Sibert, Ray and Joe Priest, Mrs. Marcelle McNeill, Nancy Linda and Bruce McNeill. Bert Gilkey spent Saturday night with Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Sibert in Front Royal. - John Williams entered the Winchester Memorial Hospital Sunday afternoon for xrays and treatment. Mr. and Mrs. Hubie Gilkey, Bert and Kim Gilkey and Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Williams were in Fairfax on Saturday. Mrs. Eddie Fox and infant son Edward Alan returned to their home from the hospital Monday. Visiting them during last week were the Rev. and Mrs. Ralph Rasberry, Miss Vera Miles, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kreisher, Mr. and Mrs Granville Fox, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Williams and family, Dennis Williams, Mrs. Susie Mills and Mrs. Evelyn Mills. The regular meeting of the Home Demonstration Club will be held at the Chester Gap Fire Hall tonight, Thursday, at 7:30 p.m. At this time the demonstration will be “knitting*. All the ladies of the area are invited and urged to attend. Among those on the sick list at this writing are Roger Lee Morris and Mrs. Dorcas Kuser. Mr. and Mrs. Cleve Kenny and son of Front Royal were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ermand Morris. Harold Davis returned to his home Sunday from Warren Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient for a week for x-rays and treatment.
