Richmond -- A public hearing on the proposed improvement of US Route 15 in Warrenton will be held at 10:30 a.m. February 9 in the Warrenton high school auditorium, the State Highway Department said today.
Citizens’ views will be sought on two proposals. One would provide a four-lane road way with a 16-foot raised median, the other a six-lane roadway with a four-foot, flush median. The project would extend from .14 of a mile south of the intersection of Route 211 to a point .92 of a mile north of the intersection of Route 17, a distance of almost two miles. The Department said {he project irtoctuded in its current schedule for construction and it expects work to begin as soon as plans can be completed and right-of-way can be acquired.
