Mr. and Mrs. Stewart H. Butler returned to Havenhlll last week after spending the holiday season with their sonin-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Robert Eaton and family In Vassalboro, Maine. Edward Dorsey returned to Shenandoah Valley Academy Sunday evening with his roommate Edward Spencer and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Prewoznik of Culpeper. The- Rev. W. B. Dennis' daughter, Mrs. Vernon Henderson of Fredericksburg, spent Friday night with him. Another daughter Mrs. Ruth Beddingfleld of Alexandria arrived Saturday and stayed through Sunday. Christmas week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Tidier were Mr. and Mrs. Sol Schneider and son Jimmy of Silver Springs, Md., and grandchildren Mrs. Raymond Moates of Arlington and Miss Patty Faye Wood of Alexandria. Sunday guests were Mr, and Mrs. Robert Scott of^\lexandria, Miss Dianna Codk and Andy Lewis who enters the Air Force January 16, Bill Perkins on leave from the USS John W. Weeks stationed at Norfolk, and Joseph Knieff of Silver Spring, Md. Miss Wood and Mr. Knieff stayed over and returned home New Year's Eve. Mrs. Lowell Archer, Jr. and children plan to leave January 16 for the west.

Mrs. Warren Slaughter and niece Miss Ann Slaughter of Alexandria were visitors Saturday of Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey H. Keyser at The Oaks. Mrs. Veronica Keating of Washington, D.C. was an overnight guest Wednesday of Miss Helen Fuller. She left for a week’s visit with Mrs. Frank Glass in Orlando, Fla. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Styer are expected to arrive the last of the week at their home in Gid Brown Hollow. Mrs. Styer was hospitalized for two weeks in Peru with pneumonia while on a trip to South America which had been planned to last three months. Mrs. W. M. Fletcher was the weekend guest of Mrs. Edwin Gibson in Culpeper. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Paulson and two children John and Lyn of Newport News were guests for the weekend of Mrs. Paulson’s parents Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Campbell at Twinland.
Miss Doris Daugherty and Miss June Jordan were Friday night dinner guests of the Rev. and Mrs. Charles F. Glaenzer at The Rectory. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Parker and family of Culpeper were guests for the day Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. H.T. Updike and Miss Gail Updike. Edward Clopton of Baltimore was an over-night guest Monday of Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Campbell. Dr. L. T. Callahan of Club Manor, Md. was a luncheon guest Saturday of Mr. andMrs T. M. Johnston.
