The Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors adopted the $762,775 budget which had been proposed by a budget committee and included an increase in the levy to $5.00 for the 1968-69 fiscal year beginning in July. This action » occurred at the budget hearing which was incorporated with the regular Board meeting Fri day, June 7. There was little dissention from the public as less than a half dozen citizens were present for the public hearing. Increase in the total budget was $88,032 and the levy was increased $1.20, over the prior year. There was discussion by the public on equalization of taxes, It was explained by Board Chairman J. Newbill Miller that reassessment is in progress at present by a state accessor and at the conclusion a hearing will be conduct ed for the public. The vote was unanimous to have the two-mile buffer zone around the Town of Washington covered by the county subdivision ordinances. The town had requested this and the planning commission had also recommended this action be taken. Capt. L. B. Stuart ofAmissville was renamed to a seat on the Planning Commission. His term had just expired. A committee composed of C. J. Miller, Jr., Mrs. Virginia Miller and the Rev.
