Awards Assembly at
Local High School
An awards assembly was held at Rappahannock County High School on Wednesday, June 5 at which time presentations were made students excelling in scholastic, sports and other school activities.
Awards in business classes selected by scholastic ability went to Diane Pullen, shorthand; Barbara Lillard, typing and Nancy Thornhill, bookkeeping. These were presented by Mrs. Vicki Fetchero. Shop and FFA citations, presented by S. F. Boze, went to J a m e 8 Brown, farm machine; Ed Bailey, shop greenhand; Roy Alther, outstanding shop student; Delbert Costellq high salesman in peanut sales and Robert Deal and Wayne Deal, shop judging team. Each of the last three received cash awards of $6.
Sandra Foster received the Reader’s Digest Valedictorian award presented by Principal Dennis Wingfield.
