Dr. and Mrs. Clyde Franklyn Melton of Haywood, Va. announce the marriage of their daughter, Laura Fleming, to Kenneth Boggs Fisher on Saturday, May 11, 1968 in the United Methodist Church, LaPlata, Md. and the reaffirmation of their vows on Tuesday, June 11, 1968 in the Mount Carmel Baptist Church, Haywood.
Mr. Fisher is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Massie Fisher of Kenwal Farms, Uno, Va. For her marriage, the bride wore a street length princess style . jlr^sa j>f white pique^ Her headpiece was of white net accented with velvet and her corsage was of pink rosebuds. The vows were heard by the Rev. William Wallace Beale.
On Tuesday, June 11 at five o'clock in the afternoon, a service of reaffirmation for Mr. and Mrs. Fisherwas conducted at Mount Carmel Baptist Church with the bride’s father officiating. For the service at the church of which she is a member, the bride chose a pink linen suit with fluted organdy ruffle neck line and corresponding cuffs. Her hat was a crown of white organdy bows matching the trim of her dress and she carried a nosegay of pink and white seasonal flowers. She was attended by her sister, Mrs. Thomas Benjamin Massie of Rose Hill Farms, Washington, Va. The bridegroom chose Thomas Stephen Early of Madison to attend him.
