Jungle of Curled Thistles” might well be the title of this picture snapped by Jim Bill Coates last week at the R. C. Kuhn farm located between Massie’s Corner and Ben Venue. No grazing for livestock here! This infestation was located by Extension Agent Lyne several weeks ago. By the time he was able to contact the absentee owner, it was too late for effective chemical control. Mr. Kuhn has since mowed the area thereby preventing seed, formation. He plans to apply 2,4-D in November.
