Fincham
Funeral services were held Monday at 2:30 p.m. from the Geest Funeral Chapel for Gilbert Lee Fincham, 87, of Wood ville who died Friday, June 7, 1968 at his residence. The Rev. B. Gayle Titchenell officiated. Burial was in the family section of Fairview Cemetery. Mr. Fincham, a retired farmer, was the son of the late Caroline Jenkins and Tazzel Fincham of Woodville. Survivors include two sons, Clifton B. Fincham of Etlan and Davis S. Fincham of Nokesville; three daughters, Mrs. Calvin McCloud of Boston, Va., Mrs. Oscar Coughlin and Mrs. Bobbie Weaver, both of Woodville; 17 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers were H. B. Wood, Jr., Jerry Jenkins, Leonard Edwards, Russell Guinn, Dale McCloud, Gene McCloud, James B. Flet cher and Floyd Jenkins.
P. W. Nicholson
Funeral services were held Tuesday for Paul William Nicholson, 77, of Peola Mills who died Saturday, June 8, 1968, in Madison County. Burial was in Etlan Cemetery. The Rev. Kinser Reed of Sunley officiated. He was the son of the late Michael and Mildred Jackson Nicholson. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Rosie M. Nicholson of Peola Mills; three daughters, Mrs. Donald L. Olson of Silver Spring, Md., Mrs. Edward Dodson of Peola Mills and Mrs. Charlie Dodson of Boston; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Ross Dodson, Sunley Nicholson, Millard Dodson, Lee Roy Nicholson, Sam Nicholson, Manuel Nicholson and Percell Nicholson.
Charles Starks
Funeral services for Charles Starks, age 90, of Washington, Va. will be conducted Thursday, June 13, at 2 p.m. from the First Baptist Church at Washington with Rev. Willie Williams officiating, in the absence of the pastor. The burial will be held by the side of his wife, the late Fannie Starks in the Oddfellows Ceme tery.
He died on Saturday, June 8, 1968 in the Freedmans Hospital, Washington, D.C., has been residing in Washington following his retirement about three years ago. He was the son of the late Lucy and Henry Starks of SperryVille. He is survived by four nieces and four nephews.
Mr. Starks spent his entire life in Rappahannock County in the employment of the Charles Green and the Charles King families, who were devoted to him for his many years of faithful service.
