“Land of the Free” is the novice class, open to all exhibitors who have not previously won a blue ribbon.
“Our Sun-Washed Shores” will be an interpretive design using foliage and materials associated with the ocean.
An arrangement typical of a foreign country may be entered in the “Our Citizens from Other Countries”, class, while “Our Heritage” will be a Williamsburg type arrangement in which dried oats or wheat may be used.
“Land That I Love” is the inter-club class and will be a red, white and blue free standing design staged on a pedestal.
For details and rules a brochure ' is being circulated and may be secured from any garden club member or by contacting Mrs. Elmo D. Flynt, Washington, Va. who is the show chairman or Mrs. Francis Leonard, president of the Rappahannock County Garden Club, Amissville, Va.
The flower show will be held at the new fire hall in Sperryville from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. There is no admission, but a silver offering is acceptable.
