Here This Weekend
The Spring Camporee of Shenrapawa District Boy Scouts >f America will be held this veekend in Rappahannock bounty at the farm of Tom Sastham, Flint Hill. The district is tomposed of Page, Warren, Shenandoah and Rappahannock :ounties. The camporee begins friday with check-in time from 7 | o 9 p.m. at the farm. The theme )f the meet is “Wilderness Fun fellowship Adventure.”
For those who do not arrive j friday evening, a check-in period j s held from 9 a.m. until noon Saturday, and the opening ceremony will be at 1:30 p.m. In he evening, from 8:30 until 9:30 here will be a campfire with aarents invited to attend if they vish. Camp closes at 1:30 p.m. Sunday.

Digest Award
Beth O’Bannon, valedictorian of the graduating class of Rappahannock County High School, has been given the annual award of The Reader’s Digest Association for students who by their successful school work give promise of attaining leadership in the community, it was announced today by Dennis Wingfield, principal.
Miss O’Bannon will receive an honorary one-year subscription to The Reader’s Digest in any one of its 13 language-editions which she chooses, and a personal certificate from the Editors "in recognition af past accomplishments and in anticipation of unusual achievement to come."
The Reader’s Digest Association is presenting thesej awards in senior high schools ihroughout the United States to ;he highest honor student of the graduating class.
The award to Miss O’Bannon, vho is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Maurice O’Bannon of tVoodville, was made possible hrough the cooperation of Mr Wingfield and his teaching staff. They selected her to receive the award, designed to stimulate scholarship, citizenship, and continued contact with good reading after graduation. » .V51.., . i -
