Trout have been stocked in the N. F. Thornton, Piney Branch, and the Rush River for the second time this year. Over 2500 Brooks and Rainbows were put in these Rappahannock County streams this past Monday. The season has been closed this week and will reopen one hour before official sunrise Saturday morning, May 17th. Sunrise Saturday will be about 5:50 o’clock. Fishing may legally start at 4:50, ten minutes before 5:00 o’clock Saturday morning, May 17th.
The 1969 Spring gobbler season which ended last Saturday showed an increase in the Rappahannock Co. kill. Though the kill was modest by some standards the seven gobblers taken this year was up one from
