Mr., Mrs. Kuncewicz

With Belgium Tour

Governor Mills E. Godwin, Jr. accompanied by eighty-five Virginians departed Monday from Dulles International Airport for Brussels, Belgium to officially open the new European offices of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Among those accompanying Governor and Mrs. Godwin were Mr. and Mrs. Witold Kuncewicz of Flint Hill.

The Brussels office will house the Virginia Division of Industrial Development, the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Commerce and the Virginia State Ports Authority. The gathering of three state agencies in a single office in Belgium marks the first time that one of the United States has assembled three important agencies for contact with European businessmen.

The trip will include stops in Spain, London, Antwerp, Cologne and the group will return to Dulles May 23. Governor and Mrs. Godwin entertained with a formal reception and dinner for Belgium government officials, the American Ambassador in Brussels, representatives of the European economic community, bankers and business leaders with which the Commonwealth has business ties.
