John M. O’Bannon, of Woodville, who won membership in Phi Beta Kappa national scholarship fraternity in March, received a Bachelor of Science degree in University of Richmond commencement exercises June 9, 1969. O’Bannon, the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Maurice O’Bannon, concentrated in biology at Richmond College, the men’s liberal arts undergraduate division of the University of Richmond.
He won Intermediate Honors for scholarship for his first two years at the University, and later won membership in Beta Beta Beta biology honor fraternity. He ilso won membership in Gamma Sigma Epsilon chemistry honor ’ratemity. He is a member of Phi Delta Theta social fraternity.
O’^mnon is a graduate of Targrave Military' Academy, where he was a member of the Seta club and served as president >f the junior class. He won spelling, writing and language nedals at Hargrave.
