Sgt. Garrison
Wounded in Vietnam
Sgt. Homer Lee Garrison, Jr. of Amissville was seriously wounded May 31, 1969 in Vietnam where he was on duty with the U.S. Army. He was commanding a motor unit when he was struck in the leg by a grenade. The injury necessitated amputation of his left limb. He is presently in the military hospital at Camp Drake, Japan and is expected to be transferred to Walter Reed Hospital in Washington next week. He is the son of Mrs Martha Garrison of Amissville.

Mr*. Styer Will Ho*t Garden Club
The Rappahannock County Garden Club will meet on Wednesday, June 18 at two o’clock. Mrs. Ralph Styer will be the hostess at her home in Washington, Va. Mrs. Elmo Flynt and Mrs. C.E. Johnson will be in charge of the program which will be a critic of the flower show. The 1969-70 yearbooks will be distributed at the June meeting Exhibit for June is an arrangement using roses.
